About the Event

We feature a headliner who does two 10-minute sets and we guarantee a spot to everyone who wishes to share their work with us. It's anything goes; we just ask that you be respectful of our various communities and be mindful of content/triggers. Hope to see you there!

Our Feature:

Mary Ann Mulhern was born in St. Thomas, ON. She taught in St. Thomas, London and Windsor.  She writes narrative poetry and has published eight books of poetry with Black Moss Press.  Mary Ann was influenced by John B. Lee, Marty Gervais, Patrick Lane and Margaret Atwood.. Two of her books, “Touch the Dead” and “When Angels Weep”, were short-listed for the Acorn-Plantos Award. Mary Ann was interviewed by Mary Hynes of CBC Radio’s Tapestry about her book “The Red Dress”, an all-revealing book about the life of a single woman who enters the convent and watches her life become…

Richard-Yves Sitoski’s activities take place in Gitche Namewikwedong/Owen Sound, on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe Nation: the People of the Three Fires, known as the Ojibway, the Odawa, and the Pottawatomie Nations. He gives thanks to the Chippewas of Saugeen and the Chippewas of Nawash, now known as the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, as the traditional keepers of this land.
