About the Event

We feature a headliner who does two 10-minute sets and we guarantee a spot to everyone who wishes to share their work with us. It's anything goes; we just ask that you be respectful of our various communities and be mindful of content/triggers. Hope to see you there!

Our Feature:

In 2005 John B. Lee was inducted as Poet Laureate of Brantford in perpetuity. The same year he received the distinction of being named Honourary Life Member of The Canadian Poetry Association and The Ontario Poetry Society. In 2007 he was made a member of the Chancellor’s Circle of the President’s Club of McMaster University and named first recipient of the Souwesto Award for his contribution to literature in his home region of southwestern Ontario. He has well-over seventy books published to date and is the editor of seven anthologies. His work has appeared internationally in over 500 publications, and…

Richard-Yves Sitoski’s activities take place in Gitche Namewikwedong/Owen Sound, on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe Nation: the People of the Three Fires, known as the Ojibway, the Odawa, and the Pottawatomie Nations. He gives thanks to the Chippewas of Saugeen and the Chippewas of Nawash, now known as the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, as the traditional keepers of this land.
